At Bailey's Learning Academy, we believe that learning is an adventure. As a Lead Teacher, you will be an essential part of our team, leading young learners in a nurturing and stimulating environment. You will play a key role in guiding children through a STEM-focused curriculum, helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally while providing a fun and supportive atmosphere. If you are passionate about early childhood education and want to make a meaningful impact, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a classroom of children, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
- Implement a STEM-based curriculum, using hands-on activities to foster curiosity and creativity.
- Develop and deliver age-appropriate lessons that promote academic, social, emotional, and physical growth.
- Monitor and document individual progress for each child, providing regular updates to parents.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a supportive and collaborative community.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to teaching assistants, ensuring alignment with classroom goals.
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of cultural and community events that bring families together.
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations, including safety standards and licensing requirements.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 months of experience working in a licensed child care facility.
- A degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Strong understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
- Ability to create and implement a structured yet flexible learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills with both children and adults.
- Passion for creating a positive, inclusive, and fun learning environment.
-First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Compliance Requirements
- Background checks (criminal and child abuse clearance) as required by state regulations.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications (or ability to obtain upon hire).
